Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral Hotel Review April 2024

2024年クアラルンプールホテルホッピング

This time, I will share my experience staying at Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral in April 2024. The hotel is conveniently located right next to KL Sentral Station.

About access to Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral Hotel

Access from KLIA

The KLIA Express and KLIA Transit will open in 2022 and connect the airport to KL Sentral Station in downtown Kuala Lumpur. The Express takes about 30 minutes non-stop, while the Transit takes about 35 minutes as it stops at three stations along the way.

From KL Sentral Station, a door connecting to the adjacent commercial facility, NU Sentral, is open from 8am to 10pm. Outside these hours, you will need to cross the road from the first floor of the station.

Take the escalator up from the station and you will enter NU Central. Once you reach the top of the escalator, go to the right and you will find the hotel entrance.

From the hotel, there is a passageway at the back of the restaurant on the first floor (not the ground floor).

About access on late-night flight NH815

All times are subject to change, but as of April 2024, NH815 will arrive at KLIA at 11:55 PM. It takes about 30 to 40 minutes from the plane’s arrival to the arrival lobby.

It takes about 5 minutes from the arrival lobby to the KL Express platform.

So, if you’re wondering about the last train, the last KLIA Express train is at 12:05am. However, the last transit train is at 12:34am. The transit train arrives at KL Sentral at 1:09am. The question is whether you can make it in time for the KLIA transit train. This time, when I arrived, I was able to get out to the arrival lobby at around 12:40am. I won’t make it.

So, if you are using NH815, you will have to travel by car such as taxi. Previously, the flight arrived a little earlier and the last train was after 1:00.

This time, my follower came to pick me up, so I don’t know about the taxi situation, but it took about 40 minutes from the airport to the hotel late at night. The roads were very empty.

Late night check-in

This time, I arrived at the hotel around 1:30 a.m.

I had completed the mobile check-in in advance and had informed them of my arrival time, so the check-in process went smoothly.

Basically, check-in time is from 15:00 to 23:59. If you check in after that date, it will technically be considered a day trip rather than an overnight stay.

About this reservation status and upgrades

The room I booked this time was the most affordable room, a King Bed Room.

The room rankings are as follows:

Guest Room Loft King/Twin 33㎡
Guest Room Corner King 33㎡
Guest Room Urban (upper floor) King/Twin 33㎡
Duplex Suite Room King 49㎡
Breeze Suite Room King 61㎡

It’s like low floors, high floors, and suites.

I don’t know what floor the high-floor urban rooms are on, but this time I was on the 25th floor. I didn’t ask if I was upgraded, but I think it was on a high floor.

The cost of this stay was 433.36 ringgits. I guess it’s about the same as hotel prices are rising all over the world.

About our room this time

Probably a king sized urban room on a high floor.

There were side tables on both sides of the bed, but only one had a multi-outlet and USB outlet.

There was also a multi-outlet next to the desk.

None of the rooms have bathtubs, only showers. The rooms are quite spacious, starting from 33㎡.

The toilet is a washlet, but it is the Southeast Asian style flushing type.

There are four complimentary bottles of water (two in the sink and two in the minibar).

The welcome sweets were cookies.

About breakfast at Nook Restaurant

We had breakfast at the Nook Restaurant on the first floor. *It’s on the first floor, but not on the ground floor. It’s equivalent to the second floor in Japan.

The hours are from 6:00 to 10:30.

This time, I chose breakfast as a platinum benefit selection gift.

Breakfast is buffet style. The food menu is quite extensive. There is also a live kitchen for noodles and eggs. I felt like there were a lot of types of bread.

This is my usual personal breakfast.

About the swimming pool

The swimming pool is located on the top roof.

The hours are from 6:00 to 23:00. It will be closed if it rains or thunders. The changing room is at the back.

About the gym

The gym is located on the 4th floor and is accessible 24 hours a day with a key card.

About laundry

Laundry is available by 9pm if you order by 11am. After 11am, it will be ready the next day. T-shirts cost 27 ringgits. Underwear costs 16 ringgits.
