Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel Review April 2024

2024年クアラルンプールホテルホッピング

This time, I will share my experience staying at the Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel in April 2024. The hotel is a little old and not in the middle of the downtown area, so you can stay there at a relatively reasonable price.

About access to Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel

Access from KLIA

Take the KL Express or bus to KL Sentral, then take a taxi, monorail or the Kelana Jaya LRT line.

Access from Dang Wangi Station on the LRT Kelana Jaya Line

The route I took this time was from Dang Wagi Station on the LRT Kelana Jaya Line, but there is only one ticket gate. After you exit the ticket gate, there are escalators to the right and left to go up to the ground, but the hotel is on the right. It may feel a little lonely. There is only an up escalator, so please be careful if you have luggage. Also, there are some stairs at the top.

Once you reach ground level, cross the bridge and then the intersection ahead. *Please note that this intersection has a push button, but you probably won’t notice it as the button is hidden in the bushes on the right side.

You can see the hotel from the intersection, so if you don’t make a mistake, you should be able to get there. If you’re worried, head towards the main road and follow the main road. The main road has a roof.

Access from KL Monorail Medan Tuanku Station

It’s about the 8th stop from KL Sentral, and compared to the LRT Kelana Jaya Line, it takes a little longer as it’s a bit of a detour. There is no free passage at the monorail station, so we recommend checking which side of the road you are exiting from. If you’re coming from KL Sentral, just exit from the closest exit (opposite the shopping mall) and walk back a little to find the hotel. There is no escalator going down, but there is an elevator.

About check-in

Check-in time is from 3pm. Check-in seems to be done entirely on the first floor. I was asked whether I wanted to pay for the accommodation at check-in or check-out. If I paid at check-out, I was told that I would need to register a deposit.

It is located on a corner. Inside the door there is a guest toilet, a living space, and at the back there is a bedroom, a walk-in closet, a bathroom and a toilet.

The welcome sweets were fruit. The fridge was empty and there were four bottles of water.

About the Club Lounge

The Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Club Lounge is located on the 38th floor. The Club Lounge is available to guests staying on the Club Floor or those with Platinum Elite or higher status.

Club Lounge Services

  • 10:30 ~ 21:00 Tea time: Drinks, fruits, sweets, etc.
  • 16:30 ~ 19:30 Cocktail time: Alcoholic drinks, meals, etc. (Children under 12 years old until 18:30, meals after 17:30)

About Tea Time

I went there around 12:00 and 15:00 and there were snacks. No alcohol.

Cocktail Time

This time, I went there at exactly 5:30pm. Alcohol is served from 4:30pm, but food starts from 5:30pm. It seemed like about 80% of the place was full, but there was no wait. I don’t think there was a lot of variety, but it was good with appetizers, hot dishes, and desserts.

Alcohol options included red and white wine, rum, gin, two types of vodka, Southern Comfort, Tiger beer and Heineken beer.

Breakfast at Eessence

Breakfast is usually served in the club lounge, and when it is not available there it is served in a regular restaurant instead, but here it is not served at all.

In other words, if you stay on the club floor, you won’t get breakfast. This time, I chose breakfast from the arrival gift as a Marriott Platinum member benefit.

Breakfast is served at Eessence restaurant on the first floor from 6am to 10:30am.

There are no breakfast vouchers, we just tell them our room number.

About the swimming pool

The swimming pool is on the 5th floor. There is a sign opposite the fitness center. Opening hours are from 7am to 7pm.

About the gym

The gym is located on the 5th floor and is accessible 24 hours a day with a key card.
